Quick Pears in Almond and Pecan Sauce

INGREDIENTS

2 large pears (cored and cut into 2 or 4 pieces, peeled optionally)
1 tbs dark soft brown sugar
1 tbs unsalted butter
1 – 1½ tbs almond flakes
1 – 1½ tbs chopped pecans
½ cup hot water

METHOD

In a small saucepan melt butter, add pecans, almonds and simmer on a small fire till fragrant.
Add pears and water and simmer a little for couple of minutes till pears become soft and sauce is not too watery.

Share pears into two small bowls, pour over the sauce and serve immediately.

Serve 2 people.
