Sweet and Buttery Baby Carrots

INGREDIENTS

500g baby carrots (washed, ends removed)
1 tsp salt to cook + some more to season (1 pinch)
30g unsalted butter
ground black pepper to taste
1 tsp fine white sugar

METHOD

Place carrots in a saucepan with enough water to cover carrots, add salt and cook covered till they are soft.
Drain, add butter, pepper, sugar, and some more salt.
Simmer for a couple of minutes till butter is melted and sugar absorbed.

Serve 4 people as a side dish.
