2 cups frozen green peas
2 tbs fresh / frozen dill
1½-2 vegetable cubes

When rice and peas are ready, stir in butter or cream.

Serve 4 people as a side dish.

Your thoughts…

  1. That looks good. I never thought about freezing dill. Does it freeze well?

  2. Yes, chopped dill freezes very well, then you just need to scoop out some from the jar when ever you need :)

  3. Sounds nice – like the idea of adding cream at the end. But don’t you find the stock cubes taint the flavour?

Glad I’ve seen your site – I’m always on the lookout for caribbean recipes.

  4. Bron – Yes, cubes give flavour to the rice, but to me it taste better than just with salt. But I like idea of adding garlic in your version.
