Chestnuts (Sweet Chestnuts) / Castanea

Chestnuts are seeds of chestnut tree. Can be confused with horse-chestnuts that grow often in the parks, but opposite to sweet chestnut, horse-chestnut is not edible. Spiky chestnut tree fruits are about 5-11 cm wide and they contain 1 to 7 chestnuts inside.
Chestnuts are popular on south of Europe (Turkey, France, Italy, Greece), North America, South America (Bolivia) and Asia (Japan, China).
There are several way of preparing chestnuts but the most popular are “Roasted Chestnuts”.
