Lunchbox # 9 (for 2 year old girl)

lunchbox9

  • 2 mini pita breads with turkey ham, butter and mixed leaves
  • seedless white grapes
  • pitted black olives (my daughter loves them)
  • ½ small tomato (cubed)
  • ½ clementine (cut into wedges)
  • mini (60g) chocolate custard dessert (not pictured)
  • ¾ cup warm full milk with a straw (not pictured)

I microwave pita bread for 20 seconds and when is still hot and soft make pocket inside it to put the filling.

This lunchbox is prepared for 2 year old girl that is staying at home for now, but somehow this way she eats better… she was also jealous of her older brother lunchboxes ;)

More lunchboxes coming soon…. some already existing recipes for Lunchbox Food you can find here.

Your thoughts…

  1. That’s such a lovely array of food for your li’l one…and I understand what you mean by her eating better this way…both of mine loved it like this when they were 2-3 years younger :-)

  2. Hi Margot,
That’s such a good way to get her to eat all the healthy foods. I love the cute animal forks.

  3. That is just so cute! I love how you’ve created little compartments for the food with silicon muffin cups, how ingenious! I will definitely try this for days when my kids are being picky :)

  4. Thank you for the comments.
LyB – separating food with muffin cups is not my idea.
Try to search Google images for “bento”… and you will find many beautiful and creative lunchboxes. You my also visit some websites dedicated to lunchboxes / bentos, for instance Lunch in a Box by Biggie:

  5. Recently at a school event I actually tried one of the lunches they serve at the school our children attend. I was disgusted with the quality and lack of vegetables. After seeing your creative lunches I intend to make their lunches from now on. My only concern is that they will be mobbed by other jealous children from now on :)
