Marble Eggs

food colouring
METHOD
Prepare hard boiled eggs.
Then crack the shell and simmer for 30-40 minutes in water with addition of food colouring.
Let them cool down before peeling.
Those eggs are perfect for Easter or as lunchbox item.

That is so pretty. My mom used to make marbled eggs for me. I make marbled eggs for myself sometimes but I make a “grown-up” version with tea and herbs.

we usually do this marble egg in curry. it looks pretty!! yours look colourful!

They boil eggs with tea to give the marble look in China, and it is called “tea egg”. A bit more natural way to give the colour

I love the blue you picked to colour the eggs with – so beautiful. I’ve only ever had tea eggs before – the ones with oolong tea, soy and spices.
