TIPS

If blueberries are chilled enough you can skip the ice. Or on a hot day you can make your drink even colder by using frozen blueberries instead of fresh ones.

Your thoughts…

  1. I discovered only a couple of years ago that all these decades I had though I didn’t like gin, the truth was that I didn’t like most tonic waters. Neat gin on the rocks, or gin and tonic made with a Fever Tree tonic, now those are much more to my taste! I’ve got 2 decades of gin drinking to catch up on! Love the idea of blueberries and mint to jazz it up!

  2. Thanks Kavey, I had exactly the same experience with gin like you. I thought I did not like it until I tried it with good quality tonic. My husband like it with Sprite or coconut water ;)

  3. As a huge Gin fan I’m loving the sound of this! Confused about the mention of ‘soaked in gin blueberries’ When/how do you do this?

  4. Claire – when you finish your drink and there will blueberries left on the bottom of the glass, they will be soaked in gin :)

  5. You had me at ‘gin’!! I love a G&T and this sounds great – I bet the mint makes it really refreshing. Lovely.

  6. Thanks Helen, yes, the mint makes it really refreshing :)

  7. I miss gin and tonic so much since being pregnant, and this post is making me miss it even more haha.
It’s the first thing I will be drinking once baby is born.

  8. I’m sorry, I can imagine Dannii but think how good it will taste when you will be able finally to have it ;)

  9. Ooh, how good and refreshing – and almost healthy! – does this look? Smashing images to tempt, too. Very very nice, Margot. :-)

  10. Yes, Kellie, it does look refreshing and it is :) Thank you for your kind words!

  11. Oh what a brilliant idea and what a fresh, pretty-looking drink! Love that green bottle too…

  12. Thanks Jeanne. Yes, the bottle is very pretty, I’m already planning how to use it after the gin is finished :)
