Birling Gap & The Seven Sisters

Having heard about recent collapse of one of the Seven Sisters’ cliffs I remember that couple of weeks ago we went for a day out and I took some photos, before it has happened.

Birling Gap & The Seven Sisters (now apparently six) are located on the coastline outside Brighton & Hove, near Beachy Head, west of Eastbourne and east of Seaford and Newhaven and are part of South Downs National Park.

Birling gap is perfect place for rock pooling with kids so if you are heading this way don’t forget to take wellies, buckets and some nets.

Your thoughts…

  1. Thanks for sharing this, it’s such a beautiful area. I’ve been there many times pre-baby but have never taken my boy up there mainly because I’m a bit scared of him running off & me having a heart attack as a result! I had no idea about the recent collapse of one of the cliffs either. We have been rock pooling nearby though. Beautiful photos, stunning views.
Thanks for joining in with #MyFavouriteTrip Polly x
