It is not a secret I’m a big fan of succulents… Previously I did crochet cactus to have it as a pin cushion but this time I decided to needle felt it to make miniature plant I could put on the top of my monitor without having have to worry about soil and water spilled all over my keyboard.
It would also make a great little gift for any cacti lover.
MATERIALS
- miniature plant pot (I used plastic one but terracotta pots would be better)
- needle felting wool tops (I used natural Merino wool)
EQUIPMENT
- needle felting tool
- clear all-purpose glue (to glue cactus into the pot) – optional
NOTES
Needle felted cactus would work well as a pin cushion if it was a bit bigger and rounder.
If you are using plastic rather than terracotta pot add couple of stones on the bottom of the pot for balance.
