Rice with Garden Peas and Dill

INGREDIENTS

2 cups easy cook rice
3 cups water
2 cups frozen green peas
2 tbs fresh / frozen dill
1½-2 vegetable cubes
2 tbs unsalted butter or double cream

METHOD

Place rice, peas, cubes, dill and water in a large pot, cook covered, stirring from time to time.
When rice and peas are ready, stir in butter or cream.

Serve 4 people as a side dish.

    That looks good. I never thought about freezing dill. Does it freeze well?

    Yes, chopped dill freezes very well, then you just need to scoop out some from the jar when ever you need :)

    Sounds nice – like the idea of adding cream at the end. But don’t you find the stock cubes taint the flavour?

    Bron - Yes, cubes give flavour to the rice, but to me it taste better than just with salt. But I like idea of adding garlic in your version.
